THE WINTER FRAUD DISCUSSION

Criminal and Civil approaches to current issues facing the victims and counter fraud professionals

5.00pm Registration and Refreshments

5:30pm Welcome & Introduction  of Each Option by Panel Members

5:50pm Exploring a Number of Real Case Studies and Discussions around the Best Method of Addressing Each Problem

7:00pm Summary of Pros & Cons of Each Option

7:15pm Questions & Answer Session with the Audience

7:30pm Close (Adjourn to the Christmas Markets!)

The debate will take the form of a panel of experts, who will be provided with a range of case studies, based on real fraud examples, including housing, banking, accounting frauds and different scams. Discussion will take place around the best way to pursue the fraudsters dependant on the specific circumstances of each case, what actions you must take, what evidence and level of evidence you require. We will also be offering some places to local universities for any students who may want to become involved in the MFF.

The Young Professionals Sub-Committee aims to get more junior, trainee and younger members involved in the MFF, to ensure interest and education in fraud is continued for years to come. So please feel free to send a more junior or younger member to events you cannot attend or better still why not invite them to become a member of the MFF too?
