Gareth Minty, Partner, Mishcon de Reya

Gareth Minty is a Partner in Mishcon de Reya's Fraud Group and specialises in advising clients who have been the victim of crime and who are seeking redress, whether directly in the form of a private prosecution or as a result of criminal proceedings brought by the state authorities. 

Gareth also advises corporate clients on wider criminal enforcement and deterrence strategies, as well as working in concert with the firm's Cyber Risk and Complex Investigations team and civil litigators to deliver comprehensive outcomes for clients.

Brendan Weekes, Associate Director, S&W

Brendan is a forensic accountant working at S&W (previously called Evelyn Partners), specialising in fraud and financial crime matters and acting as an expert witness. He has been appointed as an expert in both criminal (including private prosecutions) and civil matters.

He is a Fellow of the ICAEW, and a member of its Ethics Standards Committee. He is also a trustee director of the Fraud Advisory Panel, an executive committee member of the Private Prosecutors Association and a member of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Business Crime Committee.

Richard Beynon, Barrister, 18 Red Lion Chambers

Richard Beynon has a wide experience of criminal litigation, coming up 35 years of practice as an advocate at the Bar. Richard is currently Standing Counsel for The Insolvency Service and has served on the SFO A panel. He has long been and continues a Prosecutor for the CPS at the highest level (Grade 4) particularly in relation to Complex casework involving:

· Fraud

· Serious and Organised crime

· Proceeds of Crime

Richard is on the A list of the Regulatory Panel through his work for the Health and Safety Executive , prosecuting serious cases involving work related deaths as well as the Environment Agency prosecuting the more heavy and complex waste crime and fraud offences.
