Matthew O'Regan, Barrister at Matrix Chambers

Matthew O’Regan is a barrister at Matrix Chambers, in London. He has nearly 30 years’ experience of UK, EU and international competition, subsidy control and state aid law, both as a solicitor and, since 2015, as a barrister. He has worked in London, Brussels and Bristol. He has a broad practice, including disputes and litigation in the High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal, investigations by the CMA and other regulators and wide range of advisory matters. He acts for both public and private sector clients, including major UK companies and multinational businesses, government departments, local authorities, SMEs and charities. He is an editor of Chitty on Contracts and a co-editor of the Competition Law Journal. He read law at the University of Nottingham and holds a masters’ degree in EU Law from the University of Amsterdam.
